Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner
Spain's star Carlos Alcaraz will be aiming to become the fifth player to win at least three consecutive Wimbledon titles. Earlier, Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer and Djokovic are the players who have achieved the feat. The Spaniard recently won the Queen's Championship for the second time. This also marked his fourth trophy on a grass court. On the other hand, Jannik Sinner enjoys the top rank and has reached the finals of the Italian and French Open, where he suffered losses in both title clashes against Alcaraz. Sinner then lost early at the Halle grass-court tournament, but he does have a strong track record at Wimbledon, reaching the semi-finals in 2023 and the quarter-finals last year
Novak Djokovic's hunt for glory
Novak Djokovic will continue his hunt to become the most successful singles player in the game's history. As of now, the 38-year-old is levelled with former athlete Margaret Court with 24 Gram Slam titles. The last major title that Djokovic won was at the US Open 2023. The Serbian will also look to level the record of winning the eighth Wimbledon singles title, which is currently held by Roger Federer
Jack Draper's red-hot form
Jack Draper has been enjoying his rich vein of form as he won his first ATP Masters 1000 event at Indian Wells and also reached the final of the Madrid Open. But he has never been beyond the second round at Wimbledon and has only reached one Grand Slam semi-final, at last year's US Open
Alcaraz won the previous edition by defeating Djokovic 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 in the final. It will be interesting to see if he tastes success in defending his title
