Coco Gauff will be eyeing another Wimbledon history after she became the youngest player in the Open era to qualify for the main draw at Wimbledon. At the age of 15, Gauff won the hearts of several fans in London. She also registered a win against her idol, Venus Williams. This year, as she has emerged as a significant force, Coco could win the Wimbledon title for the first time. Earlier, winning the French Open, the 2023 US Open and triumphing at the Roland Garros, Gauff would be eager to clinch another title. Additionally, no American has won Wimbledon since Serena Williams nine years ago
Aryna Sabalenka will be aiming for a fourth Grand Slam title as she looks to move on from her final losses in 2025. Earlier, she suffered a defeat against Madison Keys in the Australian Open before missing out against Coco Gauff in Roland Garros. She also lost against Jelena Ostapenko in the Stuttgart final and fell short in the Indian Wells title match against Mirra Andreeva
Barbora Krejcikova is entering Wimbledon under an injury cloud as she pulled out of the Eastbourne Open with a thigh problem. She has been training hard to decide if she will be fit for the All England Club. Even if she features, there is no guarantee Krejcikova will make it to the latter stages. Krejcikova, who has played just six matches in 2025, was out of action until May after suffering a back injury and lost in the second round of the recent French Open. Among a host of players hoping to replace her as champion is world number six Madison Keys, who won her maiden Grand Slam title in Australia this year
In the previous edition, Krejcikova clinched the title by defeating Jasmine Paolini in the final
