US President Donald Trump said Iran “called” to discuss a diplomatic resolution to the ongoing conflict, claiming that both sides reached major points of agreement. Trump also suggested the United States could share control of the Strait of Hormuz with Iran as part of a broader security arrangement. The US President reiterated that any deal must include zero uranium enrichment and the surrender of Iran’s existing enriched uranium stockpile. Trump also hinted at serious regime change in Iran, citing the elimination of several top officials during the conflict.
