Watch: Aamir Khan and ex-wife Kiran Rao accompany crying son Azad while leaving pet clinic

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao may have been separated after 15-16 years of marriage, however, they remain to be committed to co-parenting their son, Azad. Thier care for Azad was recently seen in a video that is now going virak on the internet, wherein the two look visibly worried while accompanying their son, who is seen crying as they leave a pet clinic.

The viral video shows Aamir and Kiran visibly distressed as the actor carries the pet carrier while Azad and Kiran follow. Azad can be seen wiping tears from his eyes with his white T-shirt. Aamir can be seen first getting inside the car with the pet, followed by Azad. After ensuring Azad has safely entered the car as they are surrounded by paparazzi, Kiran follows too gets into the car. The family has not revealed if the pet was unwell or had passed away.

Many reacted to the video, expressing concern. One person commented, "His pet is sick maybe," while another suggested, "Koi pet hoga inka, may be serious...."

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao's relationship

Aamir and Kiran first met in 2001 on the set of the film Lagaan, where Kiran worked as an assistant director. The couple fell in love and tied the knot in December 2005 after Aamir's divorce from his first wife, Reena Dutta. For the unversed, Khan has two children with Reena, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan.

Aamir and Kiran welcomed their son, Azad Rao Khan, via surrogacy in 2011. Talking about how his son's personality is much like him, Aamir, in a 2013 interview with The Times of India, had said, "Azad is a mix of the two of us. In terms of his physicality, his eyes and the upper part of the face have gone on me, and the mouth is more like Kiran's. In terms of his personality and nature also, he's a combination. He's got some qualities of me, and Kiran ka, he has that infectious joy which she has in her personality, I think he's taken that from her. I'd like to say he's taken his thoughtfulness from me! He's in his thoughts, like I am, most of the time. But he has a very winning smile like Kiran's."

Aamir and Kiran parted ways in 2021, following which Aamir married Gauri Spratt in June this year.
