As Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi kickstarted the filming of the comedy-drama Jolly LLB 3, it looks like the movie has gotten into legal trouble. A report says that a complaint has been filed against the courtroom drama for disrespecting the judiciary system of the country.

According to reports in NBT, the president of Ajmer District Bar Association, Chandrabhan Singh Rathod, has filed a complaint against the makers of the much-acclaimed film, accusing the franchise of making fun of the Indian Judiciary System and tarnishing its image.

Reports suggest that Chandrabhan has filed a complaint against the producer, director, and actors for making fun of lawyers and judges. In the complaint, Chandrabhan apparently claimed that the film inappropriately presents lawyers and judges.

"This decision has been taken considering the first and second parts of Jolly LLB. It seems that the filmmakers, directors, and actors do not respect the dignity and prestige of the judiciary of the country's Constitution at all. The shooting of Jolly LLB 3 is going on in the surrounding villages and areas, including the DRM office of Ajmer, which will continue for several days. Even during the shooting of this film, the actors of the film do not seem to be at all serious about the image, prestige, and dignity of the judiciary, including the judges," the report quoted Chandrabhan as saying.

About the Jolly LLB franchise:

Jolly LLB was released in theatres in 2013. It is a Hindi language dark comedy courtroom drama that starred Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao, Boman Irani, and Saurabh Shukla.

In Jolly LLB (2013), Arshad Warsi's character Jagdish Tyagi, a small-time lawyer, takes on a high-profile case involving a hit-and-run accident, calling out the crooked establishment and its abuse of justice. The story is inspired by the events of the Sanjeev Nanda hit-and-run case of 1999.

In the sequel to the film, Arshad was replaced by Akshay Kumar for the role of Jagdish Tyagi. The film, which was released in 2017, also saw Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor, and Kumud Mishra in special roles. In the film, Tyagi hoodwinks a woman to start his own law firm. However, he feels guilty and tries to make things right when he finds out that she dies by suicide for failing to get justice for her husband.
