Preity Zinta, Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan were recently spotted on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati to promote their upcoming film Batwara 1947. However, a social media post from a paparazzo page soon claimed that Preity had ignored Aamir while leaving her vanity van. The actor has now slammed the page for sharing what she called clickbait content.
A paparazzo page, Filmy Galaxy, shared a video on Instagram showing Preity stepping out of her vanity van to pose for photos. Simultaneously, Aamir Khan was seen outside his van, but Preity did not notice him and walked without greeting him. The paparazzo page captioned the video, "Oh no, Preity Zinta ignored Aamir Khan?"
Reacting to the video, Preity called out the page and wrote, "This kind of clickbait content is not cool. I didn't see Aamir as I was in a rush to shoot some shots inside & then catch a flight for Batwara 1947 promotions. Next time, pls don't expect me to stop and take pictures if your intent is to promote any kind of negativity! I have a LOT of love & respect for Aamir, so this is not in good taste."
This comes after Preity Zinta called out the intrusive nature of paparazzi a few months back, saying photographers often approach celebrities unpredictably, making situations uncomfortable and sometimes frightening. She stressed the need for boundaries, noting that constant surveillance during private moments can be intrusive.
The actress is all set to make her comeback to Hindi films with Batwara 1947. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is backed by Aamir Khan under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. Set in Lahore against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition and the division of Punjab, the film features an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, Khushi Hajare and Kanikka Kapur. It marks Preity Zinta's return to the big screen after an eight-year hiatus.
Preity Zinta will be seen joining Kunal in the upcoming high-stakes action-comedy film Vibe, which marks his second directorial after Madgaon Express. It also stars Sparsh Shrivastava and debutant Vanshika Dhir. The film is expected to release in theatres on September 18 this year.
