Tina Dutta, the lead actress of shows like Uttaran and Daayan, has made her music video debut with the Durga Puja song 'Durga Maa Elo Re' voiced by Mika Singh and Anuradha Juju. The actress speaks about the shoot, memories of the festival and more.

How will you be celebrating Durga Puja this year?
My entire family is in town, so I get to spend time with them and my two puppies. It's very rare that all of us are together so we will go out for lunch at some Bengali restaurant. There's a private Durga Puja celebration happening near my house, I'll go there for anjali and darshan.

How were you approached for your debut music video ‘Durga Maa Elo Re'?
Bappa Lahiri, Bappi da's son approached me for the song, since I'm Bengali and he knows how much I love Durga Puja. I enjoyed every bit of the shoot though I have two left feet. Ravee Botalje is a fabulous director and he made me dance which is a big thing. It wasn't like a typical shoot, we were having fun and most of the team was Bengali so it was like a Durga Puja celebration in itself.

What memories of the celebrations do you have from childhood?
I used to go pandal-hopping with my grandparents. Dada would hold my hand and take me for Ashtami puja, Navami puja and Dashami puja where we would see the aarti and Dhunuchi dance. He used to give me 10 or 20 rupees from which I would buy ice-cream or puchka. That is etched in my heart and the memories are still so fresh. I miss those days.
