Tara Sutaria is all set to make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2026, and the actress jetted off to the French Riviera for her much-anticipated appearance. The 79th Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to start on May 12 and conclude on May 23. Like every year, several actors and film personalities from India will be attending the prestigious festival and walking the red carpet.
Actor Tara Sutaria, who is one of the Indian celebrities to attend, was spotted at the airport late on Monday night. Her polished and high-fashion look has sparked speculation that she may have left for the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
Tara was seen wearing an oversized charcoal grey pinstripe pantsuit that screamed of classic power dressing. It included a broad-shouldered blazer and relaxed trousers, which gave a strong, fashion-forward edge. Under the suit, she wore a soft white blouse with a dramatic tie-neck detail, that reminded of old-Hollywood elegance.
Tara accessorised the look with sleek black sunglasses and carried a quilted black top-handle handbag that seemed to be the iconic Lady Dior, adding a luxurious finish. For the hair, she chose a clean bun with minimal, yet glamorous makeup.
Reports have been rife that Tara Sutaria is all set to walk the prestigious Cannes 2026 red carpet for the first time. Although Tara hasn't confirmed anything yet, he recent depature could be a sign. A source earlier told Hindustan Times, "Ahead of Toxic, Tara Sutaria is set to make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2026, representing India on a global stage."
Notably, the actor is not heading to Cannes for the film itself, but will be looking at capitalising on its buzz and being in Cannes in quick succession. The source added, "With Toxic generating buzz, the Cannes debut is expected to spark the beginning of a global phase for Tara's career."
Apart from Tara, other Indian stars including Aishwarya Rai, Alia Bhatt, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Payal Kapadia are also expected to be present at Cannes this year are .
