Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues it dominance at the box office, now storming past the coveted Rs 1,000 crore mark worldwide. With that, the Ranveer Singh-starrer has joined Pushpa 2: The Rule, becoming the fastest Indian film to enter the Rs 1,000 crore club globally. Both Ranveer Singh and Allu Arjun starrers took exactly seven days to reach the Rs 1,000 crore club.
Dhurandhar 2 released on Thursday, March 19, in theatres, after record-breaking paid previews on Wednesday. With the paid previews, the film opened to a record Rs 145 crore domestically and grossed Rs 240 crore worldwide. Additionally, it collected Rs 750 crore worldwide in its extended four-day opening weekend. After adding an additional Rs 100 crore to that on Monday, the spy thriller went on to collect Rs 56 crore net on Tuesday domestically. On Wednesday, March 26, the Aditya Dhar directorial earned Rs 47.7 crore in India from 20,352 shows on its seventh day.
Talking of its overseas numbers, the film had a strong USD 7 million start, which increased to over USD 22 million in its first weekend globally. On day 7, the film earned Rs 11.92 crore globally.
This brings its India domestic net box office collection to Rs 623.42 crore and domestic gross box office collection to Rs 744.58 crore. Similarly, its total overseas gross now stands at Rs 261.92 crores, pushing the worldwide gross collection to Rs 1,006.50 crores.
With the numbers, it has also emerged as the fastest Indian film to enter the Rs 1000 crore club, a record it now shares with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 has surpassed the likes of Kantara Chapter 1, Animal, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan and entered the list of the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films of all time. Its next target now is Kalki 2898 AD, which had grossed Rs 1,042.25 crore in its lifetime worldwide run.
