After âTu Yaa Main', Shanaya Kapoor is set to enter a darker, edgier campus world with âStudent Of The Year 3' (SOTY 3). Unlike its predecessors, Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment-backed project will be a web series, with the makers reportedly opting for a more intense tone.
Shanaya Kapoor
We have learnt that the drama will be a blend of Netflix's âClass' (2023) and American teen drama, âEuphoria'. Directed by Reema Maya, the series is expected to stream on JioHotstar this year, with Shanaya reportedly playing a double role.
âSOTY' (2012): Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, and Sidharth Malhotra
âSOTY 2' (2019): Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria made their debuts; Tiger Shroff headlined the movie
Bipasha Basu has credited herself with changing Bollywood's beauty standards for female actors. Recalling the early 2000s, she said women were expected to be "petite, fair" and delicate, while her tall, athletic frame stood apart. "I don't think women with more muscle tone were very acceptable as actresses. But I think I started the trend," she told Elle India. Bipasha added that her fitness advocacy was about health than mere appearance.
Mrunal Thakur
Mrunal Thakur once told co-star Arjit Taneja, "Do you want to marry a girl who is manly with muscles? Go marry Bipasha." She apologised after the clip resurfaced recently and drew backlash.

After mid-day reported on about the controversy over Rajasthani rapper Rapperiya Baalam's Shoorveer being used in Mirzapur: The Movie, the song's label, Trouper Records, has clarified that it was officially licensed to Excel Entertainment. The rapper had questioned its use in a gangster sequence, saying, "Today, my heart is broken," and claimed he had not granted permission (âWant my song taken down from the film', Sept 7). Trouper Records' confirmation now puts the copyright and licensing concerns to rest, while the context of its use still remains debated.
Rohit Saraf
Rohit Saraf admits he sometimes feels "trapped" by his chocolate-boy image, shaped by The Sky Is Pink (2019) and his hit drama series, Mismatched. "It has been easy for people to see me as this cute, romantic guy because that has worked," he told News18, acknowledging why makers play safe. The actor hopes his role as freedom fighter Sachindra Nath Sanyal in The Revolutionaries changes perceptions. "I often wish that I was approached for parts that aren't quintessentially good looking and cute romantic heroes," he said.
