Comedian Samay Raina had hinted at Season 2 of his widely popular YouTube show India's Got Latent at the end of his comedy special released last month. Now, a viral clip and image, reportedly from the sets of the show's second season, have surfaced on social media, grabbing everyone's attention because of the celebrity panel.
A picture doing the rounds online shows actors Alia Bhatt and Sharvari seated on the panel of the comedy show. While Samay is not visible in the frame, his close friend and The Habitat owner Balraj Ghai along with comedian Ashish Solanki can also be seen in the image.
Alia and Sharvari will soon be seen together in Alpha, marking their first on-screen collaboration. The film is also the first female-led spy drama from Yash Raj Films' spy universe.
While there is no official confirmation about the authenticity of the viral image, it is widely speculated that the actors may appear on the show to promote Alpha, which is scheduled to release in theatres on July 10. If true, the episode is expected to air before the film's release.
Netizens have had mixed reactions to Alia and Sharvari's rumoured appearance on the controversial show. While some found Alia's appearance as intriguing some could not help wonder how it can lead to more trolling for the actress.
India's Got Latent dominated headlines earlier after the show was shut down following controversial remarks made by influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps. The controversy escalated into a national issue, with several members associated with the show receiving legal notices and FIRs.
Although the matter has largely settled, Samay Raina recently released a stand-up special in which he opened up about the difficult phase and its impact on his mental health. However, he also made it clear that he plans to return stronger and has no intention of slowing down.
Meanwhile, RJ Mahvash has also confirmed her appearance in the upcoming season. She revealed that Samay personally invited her to join the show, and she immediately agreed.
Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra, Alpha also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. Reports suggest the film will feature extensive action sequences involving both Alia and Sharvari.
