Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a baby girl. Deepika took to Instagram to share the happy news with her fans, posting an adorable image of a tiny footprint that read, 'Welcome Baby Girl.'

Deepika and Ranveer first embraced parenthood in 2024 with the arrival of their daughter, Dua. The couple has now welcomed their second baby girl on September 19, making Dua a big sister. Congratulatory wishes are pouring in for the new parents.

Deepika and Ranveer's visit to Siddhivinayak Temple

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were spotted at Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple on September 18 with Ranveer's family, where they sought Ganpati Bappa's blessings ahead of welcoming their second child. Before this visit, on Thursday, Ranveer visited the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal. Clad in a white chikankari kurta and pyjama, the actor arrived at the pandal alone. He made his way through the pandal and also met fans who gathered around him for a glimpse.

Deepika and Ranveer announced their second pregnancy in April this year, with an adorable picture of Dua holding a positive pregnancy test while Ranveer held onto her arms. The couple tied the knot on November 18, 2018, in an intimate ceremony in Italy.

Deepika on how motherhood has shaped her

In an October 2025 interview with CNBC-TV18, Deepika reflected on how becoming a mother has transformed her perspective in life and reshaped her personality and priorities.

She said that she was always a patient person even before welcoming Dua, but motherhood has made her more tolerant and emotionally mature. "It pushes you out of your comfort zone and makes you a social person; I've never been a social person. Having to interact with other parents, and now playschool, motherhood just pushes you out of your comfort zone in a good way," she had said.

Deepika and Ranveer on the professional front

On the work front, Ranveer was last seen in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and is now gearing up for the zombie thriller, Pralay. Deepika, meanwhile, will next be seen with Shah Rukh Khan in what is one of the most-anticipated films of the year- King. The actress also has the Atlee directorial, Raaka, in her pipeline.
