Actress Janhvi Kapoor religiously visits Tirupati and seeks blessing from the Lod. It is a tradition that her late mother Sridevi would also follow. On Monday, video of Janhvi visiting the temple in Andhra Pradesh surfaced. She was accompanied by her rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya.
Janhvi was seen captured by the paparazzi as she exited the temple after darshan. She was dressed in a lilac half saree for the temple visit and had her hair tied in a plait. While she is usually accompanied by a family member, this time she was seen with her rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya. Shikhar was seen in a traditional white veshti and angavastram.
The actor often visits the Sri Venkateswara Swami Temple. Last year she went there to celebrate her birthday and also offered prayers a few months ago.
The temple is devoted to Venkateswara, a manifestation of Vishnu who is thought to have come to earth to deliver humanity from the trials and tribulations of the Kali Yuga. As a result, the location has been given the name Kaliyuga Vaikuntha, and the local god is known as Kaliyuga Prathyaksha Daivam
While Janhvi has never openly spoken about her relationship, she is often spotted with Shikhar in public. Last month, Janhvi and Shikhar were seen arriving together in the same car at the former's half-brother Arjun Kapoor's house. Shikhar was also seen attending the NMACC opening earlier this year with Janhvi's father Boney Kapoor. He was also seen with Boney Kapoor at different events. Shikhar is the grandson of former Maharashtra chief minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, and is an entrepreneur.
Meanwhile, in the latest episode of Swipe Ride, Janhvi opened up about her first ever relationship, and said, "My first ever serious boyfriend was that same 'chup-chup ke milenge' (meet in hiding) 'jhooth bol bol ke' (we will lie about each other) all of that and but unfortunately that relationship ended because I had to lie so much and mom and dad were like 'No you will never have a boyfriend'... very conservative. And that's when I realized having your parents approval and having transparency with them makes everything so easy. It makes you feel so much more confident about your decisions."
On the work front, Janhvi was last seen in the film 'Bawaal' that was released directly on Prime Video. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film also starred Varun Dhawan in the lead.
