Team India beats Australia to head into the finals of ICC World Cup

Thursday night saw India celebrate as the country's women's cricket team defeated Australia in the World Cup Semi-final, making a space for themselves in the finals. Following India's historic win against Australia, several big names from the film industry lauded Harmanpreet Kaur and her team.

Celebrities laud team India's win

Kareena Kapoor shared on social media, "And like I said, girls can do it all. With grit and determination... Well done, Team India... on the finals, my girls (sic)." Uploading a photo of Jemimah Rodrigues, Kareena added "Take a bow, fantabulous Jemimah jemimahrodrigues (star and red heart emojis)."

After registering its win against Australia on Thursday, October 30, the Indian women's team is all set to clash with South Africa in the final on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
