Amid the anticipation and buzz surrounding Shah Rukh Khan's King, there were reports doing the rounds that Raghav Juyal was signed to play the younger version of a key antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming action thriller. However, the actor has now dismissed the reports. He confirmed that he is a part of the film's ensemble cast; however, said that the speculation about the antagonist had no truth to it. He also hinted that the actual story of the film is very different from what has been circulating online.
Helmed by Siddharth Anand, King stars Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan in the lead roles along with an ensemble cast of Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji and more. While the makers have kept the plot details under wraps, several unconfirmed reports regarding the characters and story have surfaced in recent months.
Similar reports suggested that Raghav would be seen as Jackie Shroff's son in the film, wherein he would face a younger version of Shah Rukh Khan's character. The rumours also suggested that he would emerge as one of the film's primary villains.
However, Raghav has now settled the dust on the reports. During an interview with Movie Talkie, Raghav said, "Yeh bilkul, sarasar jhoot bol rahe hai. Kyunki aisa kuch nahi hai. It's a very different thing. It's a very different story and a very unique plot."
"Woh jab film dekhenge aap, tabhi aapko uska ilm hoga ki kya hai woh kya nahi," he added. Notably, Raghav did not mention if his character has negative shades; his comments clarify that the widely reported theory is incorrect.
Raghav further praised Siddharth Anand's approach to the film, saying the director is mounting the project in an unexpected way. "It's a very unique film. The way they are taking the shots. Siddharth sir jo kar rahe hai isme, it's a very different thing," Raghav shared.
Hinting that his look will be different from ever before, Raghav said, "Mera look bhi, jaise har film mein alag hota hai, isme bhi bilkul different hai."
