Now, PVR has apologised for the chaos and shared a an update on the current situation along with details on refund.
Taking to their official social media handles, PVR INOX wrote, "To everyone who stayed back and watched the film despite the delays - thank you for your patience, warmth, and love for cinema. We understand how disappointing it feels when something you were looking forward to doesn't go as planned."
They further gave an update on the current scenario.
"We wanted to share a clearer update with you:
Delays happened due to content-related challenges in certain locations beyond our control.
Cancellations occurred as regional language versions were not made available by the production side, as also shared on their official platforms.
Current status: Hindi shows are now running, while regional language versions are still awaited. We request you to kindly check our app, website, or social media channels for the latest updates."
"While this was beyond our control, please know that we truly feel your disappointment and regret the inconvenience caused. You may also opt for a refund or choose an alternate show at your convenience," they concluded the note.
On Wednesday, director Aditya Dhar shared a note on his official social media handle saying that while the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions of the drama will premiere as per schedule, the Malayalam and Kannada shows have been pushed to Thursday owing to some technical issues.
"To our dear Dhurandhar family. Dhurandhar is not just a film for us - it is something we have lived with, nurtured, and dreamed of sharing with each and every one of you, together, at the same moment, in every language. Most of our Hindi shows across India are running as scheduled from 5 pm onwards. All our Tamil and Telugu shows will commence from 9 pm onwards. However due to unforeseen technical difficulties, our Malayalam and Kannada shows will begin from tomorrow morning," read the note.
The makers further said that those who have the tickets for the shows, which have been delayed, can either ask for a refund or can enjoy the Hindi version of "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" with subtitles.
