The makers of Ramayana marked Ganesh Chaturthi with a special surprise for fans, unveiling a new poster of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Ram and Sita. The poster offers a glimpse of their characters sharing a tender moment against a tranquil forest backdrop. The makers are also gearing up to unveil the film's first song, Jai Jai Ram, which has been sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.
Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi exude a serene, divine presence as Ram and Sita in the new poster. Ranbir appears regal in traditional attire, while Sai looks graceful in a classic ensemble. Set against a tranquil forest backdrop, the image captures Ram lovingly fixing Sita's hair while she looks shy and smiles. Sharing it, the makers wrote, "Celebrating the timeless bond of Siya Ram." Apart from the poster, the makers are also set to unveil the film's first song, Jai Jai Ram, sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh.
Mid-day earlier reported that the song will capture Lord Rama and Maa Sita's wedding moments. A source said, "The track depicts Lord Ram and Sita's wedding. It is currently being given finishing touches. The launch will mark a major asset drop in the promotional campaign, which began with the Rama teaser that was unveiled in April, followed by the trailer in July."
On Sunday night, the makers issued a statement, announcing two surprises for fans on Ganesh Chaturthi. It read, "Every auspicious beginning begins with an invocation. This Ganesh Chaturthi, Ramayana's musical journey begins with the unveiling of our Siya Ram Poster. Followed soon after by our first musical offering, Jai Jai Ram."
As soon as the poster dropped, a section of the audience called it beautiful and divine. One wrote, "Ohh God, can't believe my eyes, we're finally seeing this. They actually look exactly like the Ram and Sita we've imagined in our heads." Another commented, "Whatever the initial opinions were⦠this poster says it all. Sai Pallavi as Sita is beautiful!" One more commented, "If a poster can feel this beautiful, imagine the world waiting inside the film."
Now, as the Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash-starrer ramps up its promotions, the makers know just the way to get global attention. Mid-day has learnt that Zimmer and Rahman will host a musical evening dedicated to Ramayana: Part 1 in London on October 20. The second trailer is expected to be launched around October 23.
