The upcoming film The Kerala Story 2 has stirred a fresh debate even before its release, drawing sharp reactions over its narrative. Earlier, Anurag Kashyap, while speaking to the media, slammed The Kerala Story 2 trailer, describing it as "propaganda." Speaking to ANI, Kamakhya Singh emphasised that Kashyap has been "blind to the truth" about society.

"Kai saalon se unki saari filmein flop hui hain... woh mansik roop se durbal ho chuke hain... unko sachai dikhti nahi hai. (His films have been flopping for many years. He has become mentally weak. He is not able to see the truth)," the director said.

"If he has a problem with the truth shown in our film, it means he has a problem with the entire world. Every scene in our film is based on true incidents. We know that it is based on true incidents, so if Anurag ji wants, then we will send all the research materials to his house. But he has to find fault in everything. He has just become blind to the truth. He doesn't want to see it or understand it," he added.

The Kerala Story 2 director calls out Prakash Raj

The latest flashpoint came after Prakash Raj shared a post on his official X handle contrasting the 2023 film The Kerala Story with images of pork curry, beef fry, fish curry, and vegetarian Onam sadya.

Responding to the actor's remarks, Kamakhya Narayan Singh called Raj "intellectually bankrupt" and said he was disappointed by the actor's stance.

"I used to think that Prakash Raj ji was a very high-caliber actor, but now I feel that he is equally low as a human being," Singh said.

He questioned whether allegations of forced feeding of beef and conversion were true, adding, "This can never be acceptable. Civilised society in India will never accept forcing someone to eat beef in order to convert their religion. He has become intellectually bankrupt."
