Varun Dhawan is embracing a new role away from the world of Bollywood- as a farmer. The actor shared pictures from his new farm on Instagram, showing himself with his hands dirty as he planted rice and worked in the fields with a shovel. On September 3, the Border 2 actor posted some pictures on his Instagram ID and wrote in the caption, "Kheti shuru".
The post quickly went viral and sparked mixed reactions from netizens. Soon, memes began flooding on social media, with many users poking fun at Varun and leaving comments such as "Ab toh fasal bhi fan ho jayegi", "Jai jawan jai kisan", "Chalo photo khench gai aab bhar aa jao", "Aray Varun bhai par kapde jara se bhi gande kyu nhi ho rhe."
Now, Varun has reacted to a meme based on his farming pictures on social media. A user shared a collage of Varun's farming pics on Instagram with the text in the middle that reads, "First in my bloodline to see a farmer with a Rolex watch and expensive photoshoot." In the pictures, the actor can be seen dressed casually, standing in muddy water while working in a paddy field.
In the comment section, Varun responded to the Rolex watch remark and said, "It's a fossil, and it's amazing."
Varun Dhawan's direct response to the meme came as a surprise to fans. Many social media users found it amusing that the actor himself was joining in on the meme fest surrounding his farming pictures.
Varun recently appeared on Samay Raina's India's Got Latent season 2 and became the target of the comedian's jokes. In the latest episode, Samay took a sharp dig at Varun over Border 2. When a contestant asked the judges to pick a number from 1 to 5. Varun chose 1, saying, "I like 1." Samay interrupted with a cheeky remark: "Why did you spoil Border 2 then." While the response left Varun in splits, the actor defended the film and clarified that it was a box office success. "Yaar voh chali thi," he said.
