Varun Dhawan juggles between Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

Even as Varun Dhawan has kicked off promotions for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, he has been squeezing in shoots for his father David Dhawan's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.

mid-day has learnt that the actor was filming at The Irish House in the Fun Republic mall, Andheri, earlier this week. Leading ladies Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur were part of the shoot along with seasoned actor Rakesh Bedi.

A source from the unit shares, "This was one of the last dialogue-driven sequences to be shot. The bar was cordoned off, but after the shoot, Varun stopped by to meet the fans who had gathered around."

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which is eyeing a 2026 release, is almost wrapped up with only one song left to be filmed. We've heard that the team will film it at Mehboob Studios in early October. The source adds, "It will be a signature David Dhawan track, full of colour, energy, and life. The three leads will come together for this number. An elaborate set will be built for the song."
