Actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor is all set to tie the knot with her beau Sharan Sharma soon. According to rumours, the wedding will take place in Mumbai on July 16. Ahead of the big day, their pre-wedding festivities have already started. On Friday, July 10, the couple hosted a sangeet ceremony and cocktail party in Mumbai, which saw many of ther friends from Bollywood attend the festivities, including Akansha's best friend Alia Bhatt.
A video of Alia Bhatt has now surfaced on social media and is going viral, wherein Alia was seen dancing her heart out to Shah Rukh Khan's iconic song Maahi Ve from his 2003 movie Kal Ho Naa Ho.
Alia is seen dressed in purple as she is joined by Akansha's sister, Anushka Ranjan and her husband, Aditya Seal for the dance performance along with other friends. The group was seen laughing their hearts out as they all shook a leg to some of the iconic Bollywood songs at the sangeet ceremony.
Akansha and Sharan have been in a relationship since 2022 but have always kept their relationship under wraps. Earlier this year, reports of wedding bells for the couple surfaced.
Previously, a report by News18 Showsha stated the details of their wedding. A source reportedly told the, "Akansha and Sharam won't be having traditional pheras or any elaborate religious ceremonies. Instead, they've chosen to keep things simple by opting for a registered marriage. The legal formalities will take place at the Ranjan residence in Mumbai."
"The couple will sign the marriage documents in the presence of their near and dear ones. The emphasis is on celebrating the union with loved ones rather than following conventional wedding customs, making it a deeply personal and low-key occasion," they added.
After their intimate wedding, the couple is expected to host a grand reception in Mumbai on July 12. However, not many details about the wedding are officially known.
On the work front, Akansha was most recently seen in the Prime Video series, Gram Chikitsalay season two as well as Netflix film Ikka. Meanwhile, Sharan last directed Mr & Mrs Mahi starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor.
