Legendary music composer Pyarelal Sharma, of the famous Laxmikant-Pyarelal duo, lost his wife, Sunila Pyarelal Sharma, on Monday, July 13. The composer was seen getting visibly emotional as he bid farewell to his dear wife during her last rites in Mumbai. Heartbreaking visuals from the funeral have emerged online, in which the veteran musician is seen in a wheelchair as he paid his respects to his wife.

Several videos were shared by paps and fans on social media. The videos showed Pyarelal surrounded by family members and close friends as he was taken in a wheelchair outside his residence before the funeral. The composer was unable to walk as he reportedly performed the last rites for his wife. He was seen paying his last respects to his wife's mortal remains and then turning to the paps with folded hands.

Sunila Sharma's funeral took place at the Santacruz Crematorium in Mumbai on Monday. The family had earlier shared a note on social media, which stated that the last rites were scheduled for around 11:30 am.

Sunila Pyarelal Sharma died on July 12 at the age of 78. She was fondly known as "Amma" by her family and loved ones. Following her death, she is survived by her husband and children. Although the cause of her death has not been revealed, the family shared an emotional note announcing her death.

A part of the note read, "Amma lived a life of grace, devotion and quiet strength - a pillar of unconditional love to all who knew her. While our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing she is finally at peace."

The family further expressed gratitude to relatives, friends and well-wishers for their prayers and support during this difficult time. "Your work here is beautifully finished, Amma. Rest in eternal peace," the note added.

Sunila Pyarelal Sharma was not a professional singer; however, she became a familiar and respected personality in the Indian music industry due to her unwavering support for her husband, legendary composer Pyarelal Sharma. Over the years, she was often seen accompanying him to television singing reality shows as well as during public appearances.
