Bruno Mars on debt rumours
Bruno Mars is a popular American singer who is known for lighting up the stage with performances on his chartbuster tracks like Talking to the Moon, Treasure, Count on Me among others. However, he has been under scrutiny after rumours of him being under a massive debt surfaced online. Time and again, the singer has taken a dig at such claims, and this time too, after his concert, he didn't leave a chance to address it.
Bruno Mars made a surprise appearance at BLACKPINK's LA concert, joining Rosé on stage and electrifying the crowd with their collaborative performance. After the concert, the Grammy Award winner shared snippets and joked about his debt rumour in the caption. Mars showed off his sense of humor in an Instagram post, writing, "Almost out of debt BehhhhhBehhhhh!!! Preciate You ROSAAAAYYYYYY!!!! He shared a video that showcased Mars running on the stage while crowd was cheering and showering confetti's on him.
Mars has been running with the joke about his alleged debt since last March, when the rumors initially surfaced. At the time, an insider told NewsNation that the Uptown Funk singer "owed millions to the MGM." On March 16th, it was reported that Bruno Mars now owes millions of dollars to the MGM casino after reportedly accumulating hefty poker debts. A report by news portal quoted insider claiming, "[MGM] basically own him. He makes $90 million a year off of the deal he did with the casino, but then he has to pay back his debt". MGM Resorts International was quick to refute the allegations, praising its partnership.
"We're proud of our relationship with Bruno Mars, one of the world's most thrilling and dynamic performers," MGM wrote in a statement provided to Complex. "From his shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM to the new Pinky Ring lounge at Bellagio, Bruno's brand of entertainment attracts visitors from around the globe. MGM and Bruno's partnership is longstanding and rooted in mutual respect. Any speculation otherwise is completely false; he has no debt with MGM. Together, we are excited to continue creating unforgettable experiences for our guests."
