BTS leader RM celebrates his birthday on September 12, but ARMYs decided not to wait and celebrate his birthday early. Days after Jungkook's birthday, fans made the fourth and final night of BTS' Los Angeles concert special for RM with a heartfelt surprise for Kim Nam-joon. He was seen visibly touched by the gesture and the energy inside the venue, as he opened up about how precious the experience was.
During BTS' fourth and final Los Angeles concert, fans surprised Kim with an advance birthday celebration. Fans were seen holding signs and placards that read, "Happy Birthday Namjoon." The ARMYs and members also sang happy birthday to him while his bandmate Suga placed a crown on his head.
RM first pointed out that his birthday was still five days away, before joking about being the only member of the band whose birthday was not being celebrated while the group was on tour. "Thank you, my birthday is five days later but anyways, thank you so much," he said. He even admitted that he was sad about not being able to spend his actual birthday with ARMY.
The BTS leader added that having ARMY with him made the early celebration feel incredibly special. "But I got you right now, so this is my happiest birthday ever, thank you so much!" he shared.
He also said that the stage and the concert felt "so, so precious" since he could feel that everyone was living and sharing the moment together. Ending his heartfelt message, RM made everyone emotional, telling fans, "You guys are my home."
Recently, RM is facing backlash after The Pixel Project, an organisation focused on ending violence against women, indefinitely suspended the BTS leader from its list of male role models. The decision was taken after RM and fellow BTS member J-Hope attended a Chris Brown and Usher concert in Toronto on August 12, 2026.
Meanwhile, the BTS concert in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium also turned special for fans a few days after when RM and J-Hope both showcased new ink during the two-day run.
