Thousands of fans gathered at Ramoji Film City on Saturday to witness the grand Globetrotter event. Director SS Rajamouli and lead cast members Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran attended the celebration, which began at 7 pm and was live-streamed on JioHotstar and Variety. At the event, the makers announced the film's title as Varanasi and unveiled Mahesh Babu's first look.

Title and Mahesh Babu's first look reveal

The title reveal took place on a massive screen, drawing loud cheers from fans. This comes amid speculations of the film being titled either Varanasi or Sanchari. Before the event, the first looks of Prithviraj and Priyanka Chopra had been released, while Mahesh Babu's was kept under wraps. At the venue, his first glimpse was finally shown - he appears fierce, holding a trisulam (trident), covered in blood, and riding a bull, with temple silhouettes in the background. The teaser also hints at a time-travel theme, with the words "GlobeTrotter" and "TimeTrotter" appearing at the end.

Prithviraj plays the role of Kumbha, the antagonist while Priyanka Chopra plays Mandakini, a desi baddie.

Mahesh Babu's message ahead of the Globetrotter event

In a video shared on X ahead of the Globetrotter event, Mahesh Babu said, "Entrance will only be given to fans who have an Event Pass; do not come without one." He added that the RFC main gate would remain closed, and fans should follow the entry instructions displayed after their passes are scanned. Urging cooperation with police and security officials, he noted, "If fans arrive in fewer vehicles, security and entry will be easier."

He also advised fans to keep their "passports" safe, hinting at more upcoming events.

Helmed by visionary filmmaker SS Rajamouli and powered by Mahesh Babu's massive fanbase, the November 15 event is being hailed as a once-in-a-generation spectacle. With an expected turnout of over 50,000 fans, it is poised to become one of the largest live fan gatherings in Indian entertainment - complete with a never-seen-before reveal crafted exclusively for a film announcement.

With excitement peaking and nationwide interest at a high, the Globetrotter event is shaping up to be a landmark moment in Indian entertainment history.
