Fish Venkat and Prabhas
Veteran actor-comedian Fish Venkat is currently in the ICU, battling for his life. He is urgently in need of a kidney transplant. His daughter Shravanthi recently revealed that the cost of the transplant is estimated at around Rs 50 lakh, which the family was struggling to arrange. However, in a recent interview, she confirmed that Prabhas' team had reached out to them and offered financial support.
Prabhas has stepped forward to support veteran comedian Fish Venkat, who is currently in critical condition. The Rebel star has promised to cover the expenses of Venkat's urgent kidney transplant, who is currently in the ICU. Sravanthi, Venkat's daughter, in an interview with One India, shared that Prabhas' team agreed to bear the full cost of the transplant, which is estimated at around â¹50 lakh. She said, "Daddy needs a kidney transplant immediately because he is very ill. When the procedure was scheduled, Prabhas' assistant contacted us and promised to provide us with financial support."
Unfortunately, despite Prabhas' financial support, the family is still facing the biggest challenge, and that is finding a suitable kidney donor. Sravanthi shared that so far, they have not found a match within the family or outside.
The daughter also issued an emotional request to other stars from the industry to extend a helping hand, saying, "I kindly ask that celebrities like Jr. NTR, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, and Chiranjeevi come forward. With them, my father has acted in a number of good movies. Now, though, nobody seems to give a damn. We require assistance, particularly in locating a donor."
Fish Venkat is a widely popular and recognised name, best known for his trademark Telangana dialect and impeccable comedic timing. His most memorable roles are in films such as Bunny, Adhurs, and Dhee, which cemented his popularity and made him a beloved supporting actor in the Telugu film industry. Venkat's family is now hoping that the industry, which he was a part of for decades, will rally around him during this challenging time.
He was last seen in the comedy thriller film Coffee with the Killer, which was released on January 31, 2025.
