Telugu actor Bharath Kanth and one other dies in Hyderabad road accident

Bharath Kanth and another person died after their car crashed into a truck on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road late at night. Police have registered a case, sent the bodies for post-mortem, and launched an investigation into the crash

Telugu actor Bharath Kanth and another person were killed in a road accident after their car collided with the rear of a truck near Exit No.12 on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) under the limits of Adibatla police station in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Telugu actor dies in road accident

Police said the accident took place late at night. Following the collision, authorities registered a case and shifted the bodies for post-mortem examination.

According to Adibatla Police, "This incident happened last night, after their car collided with a truck at Exit No. 12 on the ORR."

"We have registered a case, shifted the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem examination, and are investigating the matter," the Adibatla Police added.

The identity of the second deceased person has not been officially disclosed so far.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances leading to the crash.

Bharath Kanth's most notable works included the 2021 film Gramam and the 2024 film Tenant, where he played a lead role. He also appeared in web series such as Geethanjali and Parvathi Parameshwarlu.

Recent road accidents

The road accident cases have seen a surge in recent weeks. Last week alone, the industry mourned the loss of Malayalam film actor Santhosh Nair and veteran Tamil producer RB Choudary. Both celebrities died in road accident in Kerala and Rajasthan, respectively.

Nair was travelling in a car in Enathu in the Pathanamthitta district in Kerala. A lorry collided with his car resulting in the actor's demise. He was last seen in the Malayalam hit film Bharatanatyam 2: Mohiniattam.

RB Choudary passed away in a road accident in Udaipur, Rajasthan last week. He worked in several film industries, including Tamil and Telugu. He also worked on a few films in Malayalam and Hindi. He founded the production company Super Good Films.

Choudary originally hailed from a Rajasthani family. Before stepping into film production, he worked in the steel, exports, and jewellery industries. He started his career as a producer in the Malayalam film industry and produced a few films under the Super banner.
