Prabhas's upcoming film The Raja Saab has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Initially slated to hit the big screens on April 10, the film was delayed due to post-production work. However, following the delay, there was no clear timeline regarding the release of promotional material or a new release date. So far, the makers have only unveiled posters of Prabhas in various looks from the film. Now, a recent report has revealed a potential release date for the much-awaited movie.
According to a report by News18, sources have confirmed that The Raja Saab, which will feature Prabhas in distinct avatars, is expected to release on December 5, 2025. However, there is still no official confirmation from the makers or director Maruthi.
As curiosity mounts, fans have been tagging the film's makers on social media, requesting updates. Director Maruthi has finally broken his silence. He recently took to social media to respond to a fan club of Prabhas regarding the delay.
Maruthi posted two pictures from a recent temple visit in Tirupati on X (formerly Twitter), and the comments section quickly filled with fans demanding news about The Raja Saab.
One handle, Ravi@PrabhasArmy, commented,"Take your time and release #RajaSaab whenever you're satisfied with the product. Just give official info through media that it'll come in November or next year or whenever. Fans will not bother you."
Maruthi replied, "To give the accurate info, @peoplemediafcy is on that job. Expecting CG output soon. Once those are verified, the makers will announce the release date. Many external things are involved in this process - it's not a one-man word or work, so things will take time. Be a little patient, everyone is giving their best to match your expectations."
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab promises a unique blend of spooky thrills and hearty laughs. Prabhas plays a man who returns to his ancestral property, only to discover a vengeful spirit lurking in the shadows. Following the monumental success of Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas adopts a new persona - mischievous, quirky, and ghostly - offering fans a refreshing break from his usual intense roles.
His vintage look in this film is expected to strike a nostalgic chord with longtime fans who fondly remember his early work.
