Television show Anupamaa and its lead actress Rupali Ganguly often make news, mainly after several cast members have left the daily soap. Several reports claim that Rupali Ganguly is the reason behind the exits of Sudhanshu Pandey, Paras Kalnawat, Gaurav Khanna, and Madalsa Sharma from Anupamaa. Recently, reports also claimed that Manish Goplani, who plays Raghav in Anupamaa, has decided to mark his way out due to differences with Rupali Ganguly. But how true are these rumours? The show's producer, Rajan Shahi, has reacted to the news.
In a recent chat with Vickey Lalwani, Rajan Shahi rubbished these rumours and labelled Rupali Ganguly an "easy target." "Rupali is responsible for everything internationally and nationally, whether it is an economic or social issue or anything else. Everything. I consider Rupali responsible for everything. Even if there is a problem in Germany, Rupali is responsible," Shahi said sarcastically.
He further continued, "She is a very easy target. You take her name and ten journalists will write. It is a price one has to pay for fame."

While stating how others use Rupali's fame to gain attention, Rajan shared, "Rupali has become one of the biggest brands ever after Smriti [Irani] ji. You know the kind of popularity she enjoys. It always becomes a very easy target to put her name. You get immediate traction."
He concluded the topic by saying, "She [Rupali Ganguly] is very capable of fighting her own battles. I know from experience that unless it affects my shooting, whatever happens before and after pack-up, I am not interested. I am not calling actors on set to make relations."
Anupamaa, featuring Rupali Ganguly, is a popular TV show that has been a huge success on national television and the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. It has consistently dominated the TRP charts since its launch - until Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai recently overtook it in the TRP race. Anupamaa is based on the Bengali series Sreemoyee.
Rupali Ganguly, who is currently a household name for her titular role in the TV show Anupamaa, first rose to prominence after starring in the cult classic Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.
