Actors Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundrra are one of television's most loved couples. Their friendship and romance blossomed inside the Bigg Boss 15 house five years ago, and their love for each other has only grown stronger since then. However, fans have always had one question for the couple- when will they get married? It seems like the answer may finally be here. The couple, who are currently appearing on the reality show Desi Bling, announced the next chapter of their relationship on the show.
Karan Kundrra made a grand gesture by proposing marriage to his ladylove Tejasswi on the show. He left her in tears as he popped the question in a beautiful setup.
The show premiered on Netflix on May 20. In the episode, Kundrra was seen planning a grand proposal along with the cast, including Rizwan Sajan, Satish Sanpal, Adel Sajan, Sana Sajan, Tabinda Sanpal, Pamela Serena, Dyuti Parruck, Iryna Kinakh, Alizey Mirza, Lailli Mirza, and Janvee Gaur.
When Tejasswi arrived at the location, she was taken aback after seeing the words "Will you marry me?" written across the water in giant letters. Karan then went down on one knee and proposed to her in Punjabi, saying, "Tejasswi Prakash, will you marry me?"
Reacting to the proposal, Tejasswi said, "I am shivering. My hands are not going to stop." She added, "Jab hum mile the, toh bohot kuch hua tha⦠Jab hum bahar aaye, sab ne kaha tha ki yeh toh 2 hafte nahi tikenge. Kisi ne kaha tha main fake hu; kisi ne kaha tu fake hai. It's been four years; we've seen everything, and we've been through everything."
As Karan continued, "âImperfectly perfect love story' yeh tune hi term diya tha. Every year that I've spent with you has changed the meaning of love for me. I never thought I would ever fall in love or commit. I want to thank you for bringing out the man in me - the man who has the courage to say, âThis is it. It's now and forever.'"
After Karan's speech, an overwhelmed Tejasswi could not hold back her tears.
On Bharti TV's YouTube channel, Bharti Singh questioned Tejasswi about how she fell in love with Karan during Bigg Boss 15. The actress revealed that she initially thought Karan only had a crush on her.
"He would tell several individuals that he likes me. I am the type of person who believes that if you like me, you should tell me clearly," she said. "Initially, I didn't realise he was serious about me. I suspected he had a crush or something. So I said, âIf he says it in front of everyone, I'll think about it.' And then, on Weekend Ka Vaar, he confessed to everyone that he likes me."
Tejasswi further shared that Karan later made it clear that he was serious about his feelings for her.
"I liked how he was extremely clear in his mind that he liked me, and he said it without knowing how I felt about him. That's a significant risk because you don't know how the other person will react," she said.
Tejasswi also revealed that her mother approved of Karan, which surprised her. She shared that Karan wanted to get married soon after Bigg Boss 15 ended, but her mother advised them to take some time.
"Karan urged, âLet's get married,' but my mother said, âYou two have just come out of Bigg Boss. Maybe you should spend a year together in the real world because while I don't disbelieve you, I think both of you need some time,'" she recalled.
