Lock Upp fame Akanksha Choudhary has opened up about the lengths she once went to in pursuit of a more chiselled face while preparing for the Miss Universe pageant. The reality star also addressed rumours of undergoing a nose surgery and revealed that she had instead explored cheek fat reduction treatments.

Speaking about the speculation surrounding her appearance, Akanksha clarified that she has not undergone nose surgery. "People are making videos that Akanksha got a nose surgery done. No, I didn't do anything," she said.

However, the actor-model revealed that she had considered buccal fat removal during her Miss Universe preparations after being repeatedly told that a sharper facial structure was necessary to succeed in the industry. "I was about to start my journey of Miss Universe and several people told me a thousand times that you will have to reduce your cheeks. Only a chiselled face works in this industry," Akanksha said. She added that she was advised to undergo buccal fat removal, which is a surgical procedure, and began saving money for it.

Akanksha recalled travelling to Mumbai specifically to consult a doctor about the procedure. She said she was determined to save enough money and even cut down on her food and other expenses to afford it. "I had saved a lot of money. I stopped spending money on food and drinks. I used to eat one meal a day, some fruits and watermelons. I used to save money from that," she revealed.

While she eventually did not undergo the surgery, Akanksha said she did try another treatment involving injections intended to reduce facial fat. She revealed that the treatment continued for several weeks but did not produce the results she expected. "I got it done for 4-5 weeks. They used to inject something here. Zero result," she said, adding that the procedure cost her around Rs 40,000 to Rs 60,000.

Akanksha also reflected on the potential consequences of undergoing buccal fat removal and appeared relieved that she ultimately did not proceed with the surgery. The experience highlighted the pressure she felt to alter her appearance while preparing for a major beauty pageant.

Her comments also shed light on the beauty standards that aspiring models and actors can encounter. Akanksha's revelation about being told that "only a chiselled face works" illustrates how appearance can become a significant source of pressure in the entertainment and modelling industries.

Akanksha rose to fame through MTV Splitsvilla X6 and later appeared on Netflix's Lock Upp. She has also featured in music videos. Her latest revelation comes as she continues to address public speculation about her appearance, offering a glimpse into the personal choices and pressures that accompanied her journey in the industry.
