Comedian-actor Munawar Faruqui and his wife, Mehzabeen Faruqui, have welcomed their first child together - a baby girl. Munawar shared the happy news on social media with a set of adorable pictures. His wife, Mehzabeen, has now shared an adorable post revealing the name of their little one. They were joined by Mikael and Mehzabeen's daughter.
Mehzabeen shared pictures with her newborn daughter on Instagram. In some of the pictures, Munawar and Mehzabeen are seen holding their precious daughter. They hid her face using a butterfly emoji. Revealing her name, she wrote, "Alhamdulillah, on 1/5/2026, we were blessed with a precious daughter whom we named Barirah Munawar Faruqui, a beautiful reflection of purity, virtue, and righteousness. May Allah (SWT) bless her with strong faith and fill her life with endless barakah and mercy. Ameen."
Munawar's son, Mikael, and Mehzabeen's elder daughter were excited and happy after meeting their youngest sibling. Mehzabeen received a warm welcome with the little one as the actor decorated the terrace with balloons, lights, and cakes. As soon as Munawar shared the good news, fans, netizens, and members from the film and TV industry chimed in the comment section and showered the couple with best wishes.
Munawar took to Instagram and announced the arrival of his daughter. "Ghar barkat aayi. Blessed Alhamdulillah, dua mai khas yaad rakhe!" he captioned the post, adding a few pictures from the hospital.
Munawar has consistently kept his personal life away from the spotlight. His marriage to makeup artist Mehzabeen Coatwala in May 2024 was also a private affair. Munawar was previously married to Jasmine, with whom he has his son, Mikael. His marriage to Jasmine ended in divorce, and he has sole custody of his son, while the celebrity makeup artist also has a daughter with her former husband.
Munawar, who is also a singer, is best known for his work as a stand-up comedian. His popularity reached a new peak after his stint in Bigg Boss 17, which significantly expanded his fan base. More recently, he was seen in the web series First Copy. Last year, he also made his mark as a host with Pati Patni Aur Panga.
