The Family Man Season 3, starring Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role, has finally been released. Created by Raj & DK, the seven-episode season explores the new challenges faced by Srikant Tiwari. As he deals with his nemesis Rukma, played by Jaideep Ahlawat, he gets help from Vijay Sethupathi aka Michael Vedanayagam, who also adds a dash of fun to the investigation. TASC agent Srikant (Manoj Bajpayee) finds himself embroiled in a snowballing crisis in Nagaland. However, soon all hell breaks loose, eventually leading to Srikant being framed as a suspect. While Srikant lands in jail, he gets help from none other than Michael Vedanayagam. Vijay Sethupathi, who plays Michael Vedanayagam - the Special Task Force officer and chief of the Counterfeiting & Currency Fraud Analysis & Research Team (CCFART) - makes a memorable appearance in The Family Man 3.
His cameo arrives at a crucial juncture. Srikant (Manoj Bajpayee) and JK (Sharib Hashmi) must illegally cross from the Northeast into Myanmar in pursuit of Rukma (Jaideep Ahlawat). To make this dangerous passage possible, Michael is enlisted to help Srikant slip past the border fencing. Amid the tense situation, Srikant and Michael indulge in hilarious banter while having lunch. Their fun exchange has become one of the highlights of the season.
Meanwhile, a connection with The Family Man was teased in the first season of Farzi, when Michael (Vijay) called Srikant for help. With Vijay Sethupathi now stepping into Srikant Tiwari's world, the Raj & DK spy universe is poised to grow bigger and crazier in the coming years.
According to sources close to the development, Raj and DK are all set to take Farzi 2 on floors from December 2025. "The duo of Raj and DK are presently busy with Rakht Brahmand. On calling it a wrap, they will proceed to the pre-production of Farzi 2 and take it on floors by December," a report by Pinkvilla stated.
