To celebrate the festival of Diwali, the US Postal Service has issued a Forever stamp featuring a colourful 'rangoli'.
The US Embassy in India shared a glimpse of the recently issued special stamp in a post on X.
"Celebrate the festival of lights. Did you know? The US Postal Service just issued a Forever stamp celebrating Diwali! The new stamp is the second Diwali stamp issued by the USPS, following the first one issued in 2016," reads the caption on a digital poster shared in the post.
The US Postal Service, which turned 250 last year, is known for its Forever category stamps.
"Celebrate the triumph of light over darkness with the Diwali Forever stamps," reads a note about the new postal issuance on the USPS website.
The Diwali Forever stamp features a "vibrant rangoli", a traditional floor design created with materials such as coloured rice powder, chalk, and flower petals, it says.
The year of issuance is also significant, as 2026 marks 250 years of US independence.
