Bhayandar man tricked in Singapore job scam, loses Rs 3.6 lakh

A 30-year-old Bhayandar resident, Brinson Sequeira, was deported from Singapore after authorities found his job offer and visa were fake. Two women have been booked for allegedly cheating him of Rs 3.60 lakh.

How the scam worked

April 2025: Sequeira contacted Ashna Shetty via a friend
Summoned to VA Immigration Consultancy, Evershine Mall, Malad West
Promised a Singapore office admin job at "Lucky Global Services"

Payment made

>> Paid R3.60 lakh via UPI and cheques in May 2025
>> Received the offer letter on WhatsApp
>> July 15: Claimed In-Principle Approval (IPA) visa approved
>> October 3: Flight booked from Mumbai to Singapore

>> Flight: IndiGo landed on Oct 3
>> Immigrationdetained him; visa not approved, company non-existent
>> Deported on Oct 4, 2025
