In a tragic incident, a one-and-a-half-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by a car that was reversing in the Kherwadi area of Bandra (East), Mumbai, on Tuesday.
The Mumbai Police have registered a first information report (FIR) against the car driver and launched an investigation into the matter.
According to police officers, the incident occurred around 12.30 pm when the toddler was playing with his three-year-old brother outside their house.
Suddenly, a car driver reversed the vehicle and hit the child. The toddler sustained injuries to his head and hand. He was rushed to the hospital and is undergoing treatment.
After his father approached the Kherwadi Police, an FIR was filed against the driver.
A police officer said, "We have registered the FIR against the car driver under sections 281 (rash driving) and 125 (b) (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and started an investigation into this matter."
