Several supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) gathered at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Tuesday evening to express solidarity with the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
The demonstrators voiced support for the CJP's campaign, which is demanding accountability over alleged examination irregularities and broader education reforms.
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's wife, Sharmila Thackeray, joined the gathering at Shivaji Park.
According to those present, she attempted to prevent police from taking away protesters as officers began detaining demonstrators at the site.
Mumbai Police detained several protesters during the demonstration.
