Seven people suffered from suffocation after a fire broke out at a seven-storey building in Mumbai's Bandra West on Saturday morning, officials said.
The fire was reported at M K Chamber, B Wing, on Station Road, Bandra West, at around 10.23 am.
According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the fire broke out in the ground-plus-seven-storey building.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Further details are awaited.
According to information received from the Assistant Medical Officer at Bandra Bhabha Hospital, seven people were reported to have suffered suffocation following the fire.
Those affected were identified as Gajala Javed Shaikh, 47, Javed Dildar Shaikh, 48, Tahera Ismail Shaikh, 28, Mohimuddin Javed Shaikh, 8, Ismail Akhinuddin Shaikh, 38, Mariha Javed Shaikh, 12 and Mehnoor Javed Shaikh, 20.
All seven were reported to be stable and were receiving treatment on an outpatient basis, officials said.
The incident was reported to the Mumbai Fire Brigade at 10.23 am. The fire was extinguished within around 26 minutes, officials said.
In an another incident, earlier this week, two people were killed and six others injured after a fire broke out in two flats on the 11th floor of a high-rise building on Baptista Road in Vile Parle West on Tuesday night.
The fire was reported at around 10:02 pm on August 11 on the 11th floor of a stilt-plus-11-storey Shanta Bhavan building on Church Road, near St Xavier School, Vile Parle West.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) initially declared the incident as Level I at 10:08 pm before escalating it to Level II at 10:16 pm.
The fire was confined to electrical wiring, electrical installations, an air-conditioning unit and household articles, including a sofa, bed, false ceiling and kitchen utensils, spread across an area of around 4,000 square feet in Flat Nos. 1101 and 1102.
According to the officials, soon after the operations began, the fire was brought under control and extinguished at around 1 am. The BMC's Mumbai Fire Brigade, police, the concerned electricity distribution company, 108 ambulance services and BMC ward staff were mobilised during the operation.
A total of eight injured persons were reported following the incident. Two were taken to Cooper Hospital, while six were shifted to Nanavati Hospital.
At Nanavati Hospital, two people who were identified as 2.5-year-old Abir and 23-year-old Ankita were declared brought dead.
Furthermore, the Chief Medical Officer of Cooper Hospital asserted that the two other injured were identified as 30-year-old fireman Manoj Sonavane and 29-year-old Shivam Dwivedi. Both were treated and discharged. Dwivedi had suffered minor injuries.
The remaining four injured have been identified as 32-year-old Parth, 64-year-old Hiren, 33-year-old Yashasvi and Abishek. Parth and Hiren are reported to be in stable condition, while Yashasvi and Abishek were treated and discharged.
