Mumbai: Honest auto driver from Dahisar hands over lost bag to Borivali Police Station

Speaking to Mid-Day, Ansari said he had taken a passenger from Gorai to Dahisar, then to Borivali, and later picked up another passenger from the Bhaji Market area. As he was about to leave for his next trip, the new passenger noticed a bag lying in the auto and pointed it out to him.

A 55-year-old auto driver, Mohammad Muslim Ansari, a resident of Ghartan Pada, Dahisar, returned a passenger's forgotten bag to the Borivali Police Station without any hesitation. Ansari, who has been driving an auto for the past 15 years and often parks near Borivali Bhaji Market, noticed the bag left behind in his vehicle.

Speaking to Mid-Day, Ansari said he had taken a passenger from Gorai to Dahisar, then to Borivali, and later picked up another passenger from the Bhaji Market area. As he was about to leave for his next trip, the new passenger noticed a bag lying in the auto and pointed it out to him.

Without wasting any time, Ansari dropped the passenger, went straight to Borivali Police Station, and handed the bag over to the officers. He also provided his name and contact details before quietly leaving.
