Train services on Platform Number 5 at Dombivli Railway Station were briefly suspended on Monday after a portion of the platform shed cover came into contact with the overhead electric (OHE) wire, officials said.

According to railway officials, the incident occurred at around 2:51 pm.

Officials said the affected portion of the shed cover touched the overhead equipment, leading to the temporary suspension of train movements on Platform 5 as a safety precaution.

OHE staff immediately reached the spot and carried out the required work to remove the obstructing section.

No injuries reported

The damaged part was successfully removed by 3:19 pm, the officials said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Services restored after safety clearance

Railway officials said that the train services on the affected platform were restored soon after the obstruction was cleared and safety checks were completed.
