Mumbai on Sunday morning witnessed light drizzle as pre-monsoon activity began in city, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), reported the PTI.
The brief showers came amid high humidity and temperatures crossing 30 degrees Celsius, making weather conditions uncomfortable for residents.
The city continued to experience oppressive weather, with daytime temperatures consistently staying above 30 degrees Celsius.

According to the IMD's observatories, the Santacruz weather station recorded a minimum temperature of 29.9 degrees Celsius with no measurable rainfall.
The Colaba observatory in South Mumbai recorded a minimum temperature of 28.6 degrees Celsius along with 0.6 mm of rainfall
The readings indicate uneven rainfall distribution across different parts of the city.
Senior India Meteorological Department scientist Sushma Nair confirmed that the city witnessed light drizzle during the day, marking the beginning of pre-monsoon showers, according to the PTI.
She said the rainfall is part of the seasonal transition and added that shower activity is expected to gradually intensify as the monsoon progresses towards Mumbai.
Meteorological officials have indicated that current weather conditions are typical of the pre-monsoon phase, which usually brings intermittent showers before the arrival of the full monsoon.
Residents may continue to experience humid weather conditions until sustained rainfall begins in the coming weeks.
While Mumbai has been experiencing extremely hot and humid conditions for the last few days, the IMD on Sunday predicted that the city is likely to witness partly cloudy skies.

Earlier on Friday, Pune received pre-monsoon rainfall, bringing relief from the intense heat that has affected several parts of Maharashtra over the past few days.
According to the IMD, Pune recorded 13.1 mm rainfall, while the city's maximum temperature stood at 37 degrees Celsius. Light drizzles were also reported from parts of the Satara district.
