Mumbai is likely to see partly cloudy skies with light rain in the city and suburbs on Friday, according to the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) latest Mumbai weather updates.
The maximum temperature is expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to settle at 27 degrees Celsius.
Between 8 am on Thursday, September 17 and 8 am on Friday, September 18, Mumbai recorded 2.61 mm of rainfall in the city, 9.75 mm in the eastern suburbs and 10.41 mm in the western suburbs.
The western suburbs recorded the highest rainfall among the three regions during the 24-hour period.
Mumbai will witness a high tide of 2.99 metres at 3.42 pm on Friday. Another high tide of 3.15 metres is expected at 4.59 am on Saturday.
A low tide of 1.63 metres is expected at 9.38 pm on Friday, followed by another low tide of 2.66 metres at 11.27 am on Saturday.
Maharashtra is seeing a mixed weather pattern on Friday, with temperatures remaining above normal across several districts while most parts of the state remained largely dry, according to the IMD weather report issued at 8.30 am on September 18.
Sholapur recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 37.8 degrees Celsius, which was 5.6 degrees above normal. Jeur followed with 36.5 degrees Celsius, while Parbhani and Udgir recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Solapur's maximum temperature was the highest among the stations monitored by the IMD, with the mercury settling 5.6 degrees above the seasonal average.
Udgir recorded the next highest departure at 5.5 degrees above normal, while Parbhani was 4.5 degrees above normal.
Satara and Ahmednagar also recorded maximum temperatures 4.2 degrees above normal.
Mahabaleshwar was the coolest station, recording a maximum temperature of 21.4 degrees Celsius, 0.6 degrees below normal.
Parbhani recorded the highest rainfall in the state, receiving 80 mm in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday.
Mahabaleshwar recorded 14.2 mm of rain, followed by Mumbai's Santacruz with 8.4 mm and Ratnagiri with 6.7 mm. Dahanu and Kolhapur each recorded 3.2 mm.
Several stations, including Mumbai's Colaba, along with Nashik, Aurangabad, Sangli and Satara, recorded no rainfall during the period.
Jeur recorded the highest positive departure in minimum temperature, with 21.5 degrees Celsius, 4.6 degrees above normal.
Ahmednagar recorded a minimum temperature of 24.3 degrees Celsius, 3.6 degrees above normal. Dahanu and Parbhani, meanwhile, recorded minimum temperatures 0.8 degrees below their respective seasonal averages.
Humidity remained high in several parts of the state. Mahabaleshwar recorded 100 per cent humidity during both morning and evening observations.
Dahanu recorded 95 per cent morning humidity, while Parbhani and Kolhapur recorded 96 per cent and 90 per cent, respectively.
By evening, humidity levels dropped across several stations, with Sholapur recording 53 per cent and Jeur 48 per cent.
Overall, the IMD data showed warm conditions across several parts of Maharashtra, with most stations remaining dry while Parbhani recorded a significant spell of rain.
