Mumbai and its suburbs are likely to witness partly cloudy skies with occasional light spells of rain on Friday, according to the weather forecast issued at 8 am.
The city is expected to witness a high tide of 3.41 metres at 4.07 pm on September 4. The next high tide, measuring 3.46 metres, is forecast at 6.01 am on September 5.
A low tide of 1.20 metres is expected at 10.29 pm on Friday. On September 5, the next low tide of 2.44 metres is forecast at 12.06 pm.
Between 8 am on September 3 and 8 am on September 4, Mumbai recorded relatively low rainfall.
The city area recorded an average of 4.18 mm of rainfall, followed by the eastern suburbs with 3.79 mm. The western suburbs recorded the lowest rainfall during the period at 1.22 mm.
Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR is likely to witness another day of cloudy skies and intermittent rainfall on Friday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting light rain at several places and moderate showers at isolated locations.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning may also occur during the night. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi, warning of light to moderate rainfall in the national Capital on Friday and Saturday. The showers are expected to bring some relief from the recent humid and uncomfortable conditions and could keep daytime temperatures relatively moderate.
Delhi is likely to record a minimum temperature of around 24 degrees Celsius and a maximum of nearly 31 degrees Celsius. The capital is expected to remain mostly overcast, with occasional light showers. Some areas could receive moderate rainfall, while thunderstorms and lightning are possible later in the day and during the night. In Noida, the weather is also expected to remain cloudy with spells of rain.
The maximum temperature may settle around 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is likely to remain close to 24 degrees Celsius. While the rainfall could make conditions more comfortable than the recent hot and humid weather, increased humidity may continue to be felt. Commuters should exercise caution as rain could temporarily reduce visibility and make roads slippery.
