Private staff transport network Cityflo has launched a new Corporate Pass Programme for companies operating in Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), allowing employees to travel on a pay-per-seat basis, an official statement said on Thursday.
The initiative is aligned with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority's (MMRDA) Friday Public Transport Day campaign aimed at encouraging commuters to shift from private vehicles to shared mobility, it said.
Under the new scheme, companies can issue Cityflo passes to employees and will be billed only for the rides actually taken, with no requirement to book a dedicated fleet or commit to minimum usage levels.
Companies can use Cityflo's existing network and allow employees to book seats through the Cityflo mobile application.
The programme allows companies to adjust transport coverage as needed. Users can avail services through its website.
The company said the corporate pass system could help reduce employee transport costs by up to 30 per cent. The model also requires no capital investment and can be activated within days.
Speaking on the initiative, Sankalp Kelshikar, co-founder and head of Cityflo Corporate, said the programme is designed to support shared mobility and reduce congestion in major business hubs like BKC.
He added that additional metro feeder services will also be offered every Friday in July as part of the initiative.
The programme is expected to support corporate sustainability goals while easing traffic congestion in one of Mumbai's busiest commercial districts.
