A male passenger from Kopri, Thane, travelling in coach S1 of the Dadar-Amritsar Express (Train No 11058), was found dead early on Friday morning. Sources state that he had suffered from diarrhoea earlier and had returned to his seat to rest, but was later found unresponsive.

Preliminary reports suggest the death could be due to a heart attack or a gastric-related issue, though the exact cause is yet to be confirmed.

The passenger was travelling with a group heading for a satsang. As per latest information, his family members were waiting near Thane Railway Station.

Railway authorities are investigating the incident.
