Bengaluru: Elderly woman strangled in Nelamangala; neighbour arrested for murder, gold theft

A 70-year-old woman was found strangled at her residence in Nelamangala on the outskirts of Bengaluru while her wheelchair-bound husband was inside the house. The crime came to light when a doctor arrived for physiotherapy. Police have arrested the accused neighbour, who allegedly murdered the woman and fled with her gold jewellery

A 70-year-old woman was found strangled inside her residence in Nelamangala, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, on Wednesday evening while her wheelchair-bound husband was in the house.

The victim had been the sole caregiver for her husband. The incident came to light when a doctor arrived at their house to provide him with physiotherapy.

Police said they have arrested the accused neighbour who reportedly killed the woman and fled with her gold jewellery.
