The Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C), which comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs, introduced the new e-Zero FIR initiative to nab cyber criminals and online fraudsters with unprecedented speed, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Monday, reported the PTI.
Launched as a pilot project for Delhi, the new system will automatically convert cyber financial crimes filed on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) and helpline number 1930 to FIRs, initially above the threshold limit of Rs 10 lakh, Amit Shah said on Monday.
"Today, launched the revamped OCI Portal with an up-to-date user interface to make registration of Overseas Citizens seamless. The new features will include improved functionality, enhanced security, and a user-friendly experience. The revamped OCI Portal is accessible at: https://ociservices.gov.in/onlineOCI/," Amit Shah wrote on X.

The Union Home Minister said that the initiative will soon be extended to the entire nation.
"The MHA's Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) introduced the new e-Zero FIR initiative to nab any criminal with unprecedented speed. The new system, which will drive investigations swiftly cracking down on cyber criminals, will soon be extended to the entire nation," Shah wrote on 'X'.
He said that the Modi government is bolstering the cybersecurity grid to build a cyber-secured Bharat.
The I4C was established by the MHA in New Delhi to provide a framework and ecosystem for law enforcement agencies for dealing with cybercrime in a coordinated and comprehensive manner.
The I4C is envisaged to act as the nodal point to curb cybercrime in the country.
India strives to provide world-class immigration facilities to OCI cardholders, says Amit Shah
Amit Shah said on Monday said that India is continuously striving to provide world-class immigration facilities to OCI cardholders and efforts must be taken to ensure that they face no inconvenience when visiting or staying in the country, reported the PTI.
Launching the revamped portal of the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Shah also said the portal with an updated user interface has been introduced to simplify the registration process for overseas citizens.
The home minister said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is continuously striving to provide world-class immigration facilities to its OCI cardholder citizens.
Noting that many Indian-origin citizens reside in various countries, he said "we must ensure they face no inconvenience when visiting or staying in India".
"Today, launched the revamped OCI portal with an up-to-date user interface to make registration of overseas citizens seamless. The new features will include improved functionality, enhanced security, and a user-friendly experience," Shah said in a post on X.
The new portal will provide enhanced functionality, advanced security, and a user-friendly experience for the existing over five million OCI cardholders and new users.
