Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Pariksha Pe Charcha initiative has entered the Guinness World Record for "most people registered on a citizen engagement platform in one month", the Ministry of Education (MoE) announced on Monday, reported the PTI.
According to officials, 3.53 crore valid registrations were received during the eighth edition of the programme.
PM Modi directly interacts with students, teachers, and parents as part of the Pariksha Pe Charcha initiative, which aims to transform the examination season "into a festival of positivity, preparation, and purposeful learning", making exams a time for encouragement rather than stress.
The milestone, recognised with an official Guinness World Records certificate, was celebrated at a special ceremony in New Delhi attended by Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Jitin Prasada, School Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar, MyGov CEO Nand Kumarum, and other senior officials.
"Pariksha Pe Charcha has been redefined as a national approach to examinations by turning stress into a festival of learning. The eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha recorded a total of over 21 crore viewership across all media platforms in 2025," Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said at an event where the Guinness World Record certificate was formally presented, according to the PTI.
"The overwhelming participation in Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 is seen as a reflection of the country's collective commitment to holistic and inclusive education and alignment with the vision of a Viksit Bharat," he said, as per the PTI.
While addressing the occasion, Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw praised the initiative's inclusive format, stating that the overwhelming registrations reflected public confidence and its growing impact.
Minister Jitin Prasada lauded MyGov for driving digital participation and said Pariksha Pe Charcha stands as a model for tech-enabled citizen engagement.
The Pariksha Pe Charcha programme focuses on experiential and stress-free learning, helping students tackle challenges such as exam anxiety, digital distractions, and time management through real-time interaction with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The eighth edition of the prime minister's annual Pariksha Pe Charcha was held in a different format, with renowned personalities like actor Deepika Padukone, six-time world champion boxer MC Mary Kom and spiritual leader Sadhguru joining the event.
