Know a hidden gem in Pune? Tourism Department seeks your inputs to promote lesser-known spots

The Regional Deputy Director's Office of the Directorate of Tourism has appealed to citizens, tourism enthusiasts, researchers, and organisations to share information on both well-known and lesser-known tourist destinations across Pune district to help promote the region's rich tourism potential.

Pune district is renowned for its historical monuments, religious sites, natural landscapes, and cultural heritage, making it a major attraction for domestic and international tourists. In addition to its established tourist destinations, the district has witnessed the emergence of several scenic, adventure, rural, and eco-tourism destinations in recent years. The Tourism Directorate aims to document and promote these locations through public participation.

The department has requested contributors to provide details such as the historical, spiritual, and cultural significance of tourist destinations, along with supporting references, photographs, maps, documents, unique features, accessibility, available visitor facilities, local traditions, and the most suitable season for tourism.

The information will be used by the Directorate of Tourism to strengthen tourism promotion and highlight the diverse attractions spread across Pune district.
