Rajasthan: 20-year-old NEET aspirant missing, yet to traced

The 20-year-old female NEET aspirant in Rajasthan's Kota, who had gone missing eight days ago, is yet to be traced, according to the PTI.

The police said that separate teams were dispatched to trace the NEET aspirant and search for her is still going on.

According to the PTI, Tripti Singh, a resident of Kaushambi Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, had been preparing for NEET in a coaching institute Kota for a year.

She lived in a PG in the Gobariabawari area of Kota.

On April 21, Tripti Singh did not return to the PG room after leaving her coaching centre, as per the PTI.

At the complaint of the caretaker of the PG, a missing person report was lodged at Anantpura Police Station on April 23.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Manish Sharma on Sunday said the woman's mobile phone continues to be switched off, the news agency reported on Sunday.

Two bodies recovered from Chambal river in Kota

Meanwhile, in an another incident, the bodies of a man and a woman were reportedly recovered from Chambal river near a jetty in Kota of Rajasthan, the police said on Sunday, reported the PTI.

According to the PTI, the police said that the duo is likely to have jumped into the river around four days back. But no suicide note was recovered from them and actual reason behind death was yet to be ascertained, they added.

The bodies were recovered on Saturday and the deceased were identified to be Deepak Sain (22) from Bundi district and Pooja Rathore (20) from Kota city, the police said, as per the PTI.

Pooja Rathore, a second-year BA student, was reported to be missing since April 20 by her family.

On April 25, her family filed a police report at RK Puram Police Station and mentioned about Deepak Sain in it, the SHO at Kishorepura Police Station Ramswaroop Meena said, the news agency reported on Sunday.

Deepak Sain was doing a computer course in Kota city of Rajasthan while Pooja Rathore had a part-time job, Meena said, as per the PTI.

The SHO said that the two have likely jumped into Chambal river around four days back but the exact reason behind their deaths is yet to be ascertained.

The bodies were handed over to the respective families after a post-mortem on Sunday morning.

The family members have not levelled any allegation and separate cases under Section 174 of CrPC were lodged for investigation, the SHO said, the PTI reported.
